Jenna Ortega's Beetlejuice 2 has props stolen from set
The set of Jenna Ortega's upcoming movie Beetlejuice 2 has been targeted by thieves.
The anticipated sequel to the 1988 Tim Burton classic is currently in the works, with the Wednesday star set to take on the role of Lydia Deetz's (a returning Winona Ryder) daughter.
Amid filming in Vermont, police received an initial report earlier this month that a pickup truck had managed to remove a large lamppost with a pumpkin decoration and flee the set with it.
A few days later, the theft of a 150-pound abstract art statue was also reported, which appeared in the original movie as one of Delia Deetz's (Catherine O'Hara) pieces.
Vermont police tweeted: "We tried saying the name of this stolen statue three times, but it didn't come back! We're investigating the theft of this 150-pound sculpture from the Beetlejuice 2 set in E. Corinth, along with a lamppost topped with a pumpkin decoration. Call 802-748-3111 with any info."
Police have since offered a new statement, saying (via Entertainment Weekly): "The investigation is still ongoing and there are no additional updates at this time."

Earlier this month, a first look at Ortega on the set of Beetlejuice 2 emerged, with her character wearing a wedding dress alongside Ryder, who is seen in character as Lydia sporting her trademark gothic look.
The sequel will see Burton return as director, with Michael Keaton also back as Betelgeuse. New cast additions include James Bond's Monica Bellucci, Lady and the Tramp's Justin Theroux and Spider-Man's Willem Dafoe.
The story comes from The Lego Batman Movie's Seth Grahame-Smith, with Spider-Man 2's Alfred Gough and Miles Millar on board to write the screenplay.
Beetlejuice 2 will be released in US and UK cinemas on 6th September, 2024.
