Jazz Boon to cast Ruco Chan again in new drama?

31 Aug – Rumours are rife that Ruco Chan is set to collaborate with producer Jazz Boon again in an upcoming TVB drama titled, "Bangkok Chinatown".

As reported on HK01, the upcoming drama reportedly will revolve around the lives of overseas Chinese immigrants, and will begin its principal filming in two months.

Jazz, who has worked with Ruco in "A Fist Within Four Walls" and "The Unholy Alliance", reportedly plans to reunite stars of both dramas in his new project, which means that audiences may be able to enjoy the reunion of onscreen partnerships of Elaine Ng and Joel Chan, Philip Ng and Moon Lau, as well as other stars who blossomed through the two previous Jazz Boon dramas, like Grace Wong and Roxanne Tong.

However, it is alleged that both Benjamin Yuen and Nancy Wu - the latter Jazz's leading lady in both dramas, will not be joining the project.

Nancy has previously revealed that she will be taking a break from filming until next year following a hectic first half of 2018.

It is noted that Jazz's dramas previously won multiple accolades at the TVB Anniversary Awards.

Both Ruco and Nancy won TV King and Queen at the 2016 edition of the said awards with "A Fist Within Four Walls" winning Best Drama, while Joel Chan won Best Supporting Actor for "The Unholy Alliance" in 2017.
