Jay Chou opens PHANTACi store in Singapore
Taiwanese Mando-pop singer Jay Chou, 37, was in Singapore on Friday (2 Sept) at the grand opening of his clothing store PHANTACi, which is located at Orchard Gateway.
The creative director of the streetwear label arrived at about 4pm, and was greeted by a large crowd of screaming fans, who had been waiting for him outside the store.
Chou is also in Singapore as part of his “Invincible” tour, which is taking place on Saturday (3 September) at the National Stadium.
At the opening, Chou said in Mandarin that he was really happy to be back in Singapore.
Now that he has opened a store here, he feels that he now has more reasons to come to Singapore to shop, he shared.
When asked about the kind of fashion style he likes, the now father of one and husband to model and actress Hannah Quinlivan, 23, said, “I’ve gained some weight recently so I like to wear my clothes a little loose.”
