Japan's Guenpin brings tiger puffer fish cuisines to Singapore

Japan's torafugu restaurant chain Guenpin opens its first overseas outlet in Singapore at Maxwell Chambers. Specialising in torafugu, which refers to tiger puffer fish, the restaurant of more than 30 years serves torafugu as sashimi, grilled, or in a hotpot. Most of the torafugu is air-flown to Singapore from Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi prefecture. Snow crabs are also available on the menu. They are served deep-fried, grilled or as tempura.
