Janice Vidal plans to further her studies

10 Jul – Hong Kong Cantopop singer Janice Vidal has some new projects in the near future and it has nothing to do with music.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke to the media at an event recently, shared that she would like to start learning the Chinese language more seriously, adding that she was inspired to be more fluent in Chinese after narrating an episode of season 6 of the RTHK series, "A World Without Walls".

"When I received the script, everything was romanised. But I have the experience of dubbing for animation, so it was okay. It's similar," she said.

Janice, who is of Filipino-Korean descent, added, "I only know how to write Chinese numbers and spell my name at this stage. So I hope to learn the language more with my colleagues."

At the same time, the singer also hopes to take up an art course in college.

"Right now, I am considering to either study in Hong Kong or in the United Kingdom. It depends on my schedule. The company supports me to do what I like. I do hope I can get a diploma, because I really love arts," she said.

Asked if she plans to start another exhibition, Janice responded positively.

"I have kept 20 new works of varying styles. I hope to find my own style through my studies," she added.
