Janella Salvador admits to being a single mom

5 Sep – While the media and fans alike continue to speculate about her current status, Janella Salvador seemed to be confirming that she is no longer together with actor and father of her child, Markus Paterson.

The actress recently called herself a "single mother" in a conversation with Bernadette Sembrano on her YouTube channel, as she spoke about her role as Regina Vanguardia/Valentina in "Mars Ravelo's Darna".

Admitting that she can relate to the character, Janella stated, "When she is fighting for something, as long as she knows she is in the right, she will really fight for it. That's how I am as a person. As long as I don't step on someone else, because I like learning. I like challenging myself," she said.

When asked about the most recent battle she had to face in real life, she responded, "Being a single mum. I am really fighting for that."

"At the end of the day, I know I can handle it. As much as I love the people around me who are always there to help me, I always want to know that I can do it, I can rely on myself and don't need to ask for help from others."

Rumours of breakup between the two sparked after fans realised that both Janella and Markus have not posted any recent pictures of the two of them together on social media.

The couple, who announced their relationship in late 2020, revealed last year that they are parents to son Jude.
