Jane Zhang fuels divorce rumours

31 May – Amid rumours of her divorce, Chinese singer Jane Zhang recently shared a photo that only fuelled more speculations about the state of her marriage.

As reported on NetEase, the singer who has been keeping mum about her status since the rumours began, posted a photo of her manicured hand on Weibo a few days ago, which she only captioned with a pig emoji.

However, it didn't escape netizens' attention that there was no wedding band on her ring finger, sparking speculations that Jane is finally confirming the rumours of a failed marriage.

Jane's marriage with Michael Feng, the CEO of her management company Show City Times, back in 2016 did not happen without its controversies.

First, it was the singer herself who proposed to Michael during her show in 2015, after 12 years of relationship. It was understood that the singer dated Michael back when she was only 18 and that the latter was already married when he first met her.

Then it was reported that Jane's mother, Zhang Guiying had refused to bless the couple, saying that Jane had been cheated by Michael, who reportedly had tampered with the shares that she and Jane owned in Show City Times.

Earlier this year, rumours of rift between them sparked after Jane was revealed to have returned home for the Lunar New Year on her own without Michael. She was then rumoured to be dating Chen Qiujin - the same person who was Michael's best man at their wedding.

Neither Jane nor Michael have addressed their current status since the rumours started.
