Jackie Chan denies helping Fan Bingbing seek refuge in US
4 Sep – Jackie Chan has recently dismissed allegations that he helped Fan Bingbing seek refuge in the United States following the recent tax evasion scandal.
As reported on China Times, the rumour was the latest in the wake of Fan's mysterious disappearance from the spotlight, after she was accused of being involved in the illegal practice of the "yin yang contract" - in which a celebrity or a company sign two different contracts to avoid hefty taxation.
Tabloids previously reported that Fan was recently spotted at a Los Angeles immigration office, and speculated that she was there after taking an advice from her "Skiptrace" co-star.
However, when asked about it, Jackie's rep denied the allegations, calling it "nonsense".
Prior to her absence, Fan was prepping up to begin filming the sequel to Feng Xiaogag's 2003 movie, "Cell Phone".
