Isabel Marant Resort 2025: Fringe Element

Slouchy is the shape of the season for Isabel Marant, who added new volume on trousers that graze the floor or pool at the ankles, tucked into kitten-heeled boots, and on dresses draped as if one nonchalantly layered on the scarves.

Marant and brand artistic director Kim Bekker carried through the ikat prints from the most recent men’s collection, translated here on tops, tunics and dresses. The boho codes of the house are evident on other pieces, with lots of swingy ’70s fringe.

“We really wanted to go for something a bit more minimal chic, ethnic, and it’s quite soft,” Bekker said. The looks were shot in Marrakech.

Marant’s mix of materials adds a tactile take on outerwear, particularly a shaggy faux fur coat, while elsewhere a nubby bouclé dress is constructed from jersey for ease of movement.

On denim, the outlines of a cowboy-style chap added another element of texture and eye-catching interest with a horizontal pockets and a wide leg.

She elevated other pieces such as a silk georgette blouse threaded with Lurex for an added bit of shimmer, while long satin dresses had a lingerie cut with understated appeal. Elevated outerwear included a leather-piped cape.

Marant kept the palette neutral in cream, khaki, black and white, but pops of rust and wine put a colorful cap on the collection.
