A whimsical 2m-by-2m organza floral display pop-up can be experienced from now to 30 April 2023 in the InterContinental Singapore lobby, bringing Claire Luxton’s art to life.

For the uninitiated, Claire Luxton is a British contemporary multi-disciplinary artist working with photography, immersive installation and poetry. Colourful, feminine, bold and eye-catching, her flora display inspired by South-East Asia's native flora and fauna, such as the Emerald Swallowtail Butterfly, will be exclusively shown in Singapore, Sydney and Osaka.

The Claire Luxton Experience is also celebrated in The Lobby Lounge in Intercontinental Singapore, where guests can indulge in a cocktail, mocktail, and tart created by the hotel’s Executive Chef Kenny Chung and mixologist Dora Amurao.

We tried all three items on the menu. The Secret Garden cocktail (S$32++), uses Lavender Infused Gin, Sambuca, Banana Liquer Giffard Farfait Amour, Lemon Juice, and Hibiscus Syrup Passion Fruit Foam to form a pretty yet potent cocktail, with Claire Luxton’s artwork displayed on top of a Mixed Berries Bubble Foam. For the alcohol-free version, go for Bloom and Blossom (S$25++), a sweet concoction that will go well with the Rosella tart (S$26++ per serving), a truly yummy (nods around the table and cleaned plates) citrus sponge cake and sable biscuit topped with elderflower mousse, raspberry, and rosella marmalade. Yuzu cream, edible flowers and lime sauce complete the glazed tart.

Art enthusiasts can also view the virtual InterContinental x Claire Luxton NFT gallery.
