“Incredibles 2” just dropped a perfectly retro, minimalistic poster

It seems hard to believe that after 13 years, fans are finally getting a sequel to The Incredibles. No matter how much evidence we get that it’s happening, it’s just too exciting to process — and if you can believe it, it’ll be in theaters in 165 days. To really get us psyched up for this, Disney just dropped a brand new poster for the movie, and it is *perfect.* It’s a super retro, minimalist take on the franchise, kind of like a 1950s or ’60s Disney style.

The new Incredibles 2 poster doesn’t give away much, but it’s still so fun, and we already want MORE.

The new poster was was shared to the Walt Disney Studios official Twitter account early on January 1. A happy new year, indeed! Get it? see what they did there? With the pun on toast? So clever, Incredibles.

There’s even a hint of the theme music in the background! No Easter eggs to be found in here — it’s genuinely like, the teasiest of the teases — but it’s still an amazing reminder that Incredibles 2 is really happening. Since it is extremely short, it’s normal to watch it 5 or 10 times on a loop.

We’ll take *any* reminder that Incredibles 2 is on the way, no matter how minor[

Incredibles 2 hits theaters on June 15, 2018. That’s officially this year, so the 6-month-plus countdown is on! Hopefully, this is just the first of many trailers we’ll get from Disney, retro-inspired or otherwise. In the meantime, though, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice your Violet-inspired hair part, or running there and back (and again) like Dash. Maybe dress your cat/dog/etc. up like Jack-Jack to go for a walk?
