Hubert Wu wants to be known for his own music
19 Feb – Although he is one of the most sought after artistes when it comes to recording TVB theme songs, Hubert Wu hopes to be known more for his work rather than just for the soundtrack.
As reported on On CC, the singer, who is known for theme songs like "I am Here" ("The Exorcist's Meter") and "Intolerance" ("Blue Veins"), confessed that it would be great if he is known for the songs from his albums too.
"I am really grateful for the opportunity to perform all of those theme songs, since not a lot of us get the chance. But at the same time, I hope that there is some sort of balance, where the public knows me for the theme songs and the songs that I perform in my record," he said.
Hubert also showcased his ability in writing songs on his latest album "I Was Here" through the track "The Day After Today".
As to his future plans, the 26-year-old singer said that he has set himself a goal - to perform at the Hong Kong Coliseum before he turns 30.
