Hubert Wu admits surprise over multiple nominations

28 Dec – Hubert Wu recently admitted that he was surprised and delighted that he has been nominated in multiple categories at the upcoming 2017 TVB Anniversary Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who has only filmed two dramas this year, was nominated in five categories including Best Supporting Actor, Most Improved Artiste, and Most Popular TV Male Character for his role in "The Exorcist's Meter".

Hubert, who also performed the opening and ending theme of the said drama, is also nominated in the Most Popular Theme Song category.

When asked about the five nominations, Hubert said that he didn't find out about the nominations when it was first announced due to his busy schedule, and only learned about it from a friend.

"I am very happy, but the most important thing is to win Best Drama. It would be great to win something with the whole crew together," he said.

In related news, Hubert has also been nominated in two categories at the Ultimate Song Chart Awards.

A grand jury in Massachusetts has indicted a doctor who is accused of sexually assaulting more than 200 former patients over a period of more than a decade. The patients sued Dr. Derrick Todd, who has been accused of performing unnecessary pelvic floor therapy, breast examinations, testicular examinations and other unwarranted procedures on patients dating back to 2010.
