Hu Ge aspires to be like his "Condor Heroes" character

14 Jan – If there is one fictional character he aspired to be, Chinese actor Hu Ge said it would be Guo Jing - the protagonist of the wuxia novel, "The Legend of the Condor Heroes".

As reported on Epoch Times, the actor, who played the character in the 2008 TV adaptation of the said Jin Yong novel, stated that emulating Guo Jing's traits and ethics will always be an important goal in his life.

"First of all, he has such good morals and is always courageous in facing treachery. Secondly, he is a real hero. He puts his homeland and the people first," he said.

Hu Ge stated that while he may not be able to reach such heights in his life, he will always try to emulate Guo Jing's virtues.

The actor also stated that some of the characters he played may be a reflection of his past life, while some becomes an ideal for him to pursue.
