Houston Texans C.J. Stroud Suits Up and His Mom Kimberly Embraces Red Trend in Strapless Dress for 2024 NFL Honors Red Carpet

C.J. Stroud walked the 2024 NFL Honors red carpet with his mom, Kimberly Stroud, on Thursday in Las Vegas. The Houston Texans quarterback, who won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award, chose a formal look for the event, donning a black three-piece suit, which he paired with a white button-down shirt and a black tie.

Kimberly wore a red strapless dress with a corset bodice. She carried a black clutch and paired the look with neutral sandals.

Red has had a resurgence in fashion in the past year as seen during the fall 2023 ready-to-wear shows. Valentino, David Koma, Courrèges, Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo and Fendi featured red looks in their collections. The fiery color has also been present on the red carpet in Hollywood, with the likes of Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Hailey Bieber and more.

During the 2024 NFL Honors, C.J. Stroud received the Associated Press 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award and became the first Texans player to do so.

Hosted by Keegan-Michael Key, the 2024 NFL Honors leads up to the Super Bowl LVIII between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Janelle Monáe, Gayle King, Issa Rae, Justin Hartley and other celebrities attended the event. The NFL Honors celebrate the best football players and performances of the year.
