Having a son has changed Fred Cheng's perspective on life

20 Dec – After focusing more on his acting career this year, Fred Cheng recently revealed that he plans to do more music in 2023.

In an interview with Mingpao recently, the singer-actor shared that he took a break from music after his contract with Voice Entertainment expired in 2020, and that he had only signed a new deal half a year ago.

"I hope to return with a different style from before. I love rock and roll, playing the guitar, band music. I hope to do this in the future," he said.

Fred also stated that his record label is giving him lots of freedom in his music, and that he will take his time to release his new songs.

"Slow and steady produce better works. I have recorded two songs already and the third will be produced soon. It will be launched next year," he added.

The singer, who welcomed his first son Asher Douglas earlier this year, also stated that life has changed a lot since the birth of his child.

"I have a much greater sense of responsibility. Everything is for the family, and I have to lead by example and set an example for my son. The whole family becomes so complete and he brings a lot of joy to the whole family," he added.
