SINGAPORE — Get ready to scare yourself silly at the 11th edition of the annual Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore, with five haunted houses, three scare zones, two live shows and a multi-sensory dining experience across 18 event nights this year.

Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) said in a media release on Monday (17 July) that this year's event will run from 29 September to 4 November.

Five haunted houses

Three new haunted houses were unveiled, and one of them will see the return of 'The Matriarch' from the inaugural Halloween Horror Nights. In the 'Rebirth of the Matriarch', guests will step foot into a family home where a deadly ritual is being conducted to bring the matriarch back to life.

Attendees will also come face to face with King Yama's judgment and punishment for their earthly sins in Chinese mythology-themed 'DIYU: Descent into Hell', as well as a twisted take on fairy tales corrupted by the Pied Piper in 'Grimm Encounters'.

These three haunted houses are in addition to the previously-announced "All of Us Are Dead" haunted house based off the hit Korean Netflix horror drama. The theme of the fifth and final house will be revealed at a later date.

Three scare zones and two live shows

This year's Halloween Horror Nights will also feature three scares zones:

  • 'Dead Man's Wharf', featuring legendary Chinese pirate Madame Dragon and her motley crew;

  • 'The Hacker', where a destructive artificial intelligence being reigned supreme over a cyber-hellscape feeding off the desperate souls of mankind;

  • 'The Cursed Kiramam', depicting an Indian village cursed by the gods.

Two live shows will also be put up each event night:

  • 'Judgement Day', the grand opening 'Scaremony' where an unfortunate soul tries to escape his final judgement.

  • 'The Hacker: Game Over', where a destructive A.I. attempts to hack her way out of the virtual world and into the nightmares of victims.

Multi-sensory dining experience

Guests looking for an elevated horror experience can partake in King Yama’s Feast in 'Die-ning In Hell', where a three-course meal will be served with entertainment from King Yama’s demons.

During event nights, the dining experience will be served at the Hollywood China Arcade over three 80-minute sessions. It is available with a $128 top-up to a Halloween Horror Nights admission ticket.

During non-event nights on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 2 to 31 October, 'Die-ning In Hell' will be held twice a day. Tickets for these days will cost $148.

How much does Halloween Horror Nights cost? How to purchase the tickets?

Early-bird tickets are available until 17 August, at $89 for peak nights and $79 for non-peak nights. Thereafter, regular tickets go on sale from 18 August at $89 for peak nights and $79 for non-peak nights.

Each ticket comes with a $5 food and beverage voucher, $5 retail voucher and interactive LED wristband. Early-bird ticket holders will receive an additional limited-edition souvenir.

Other available ticket options include 'The Frights for Four' bundle deal and 'The Halloween Horror Nights RIP Tour' guided VIP experience.

Express passes are also available starting at an additional $50, which allows ticket holders to skip the regular lines one time at all haunted houses, rides and attractions.
