Hacken Lee wins two more awards at Top Ten concert
9 Jan – After winning three awards at the 40th Top Ten Chinese Gold Song awards, Hacken Lee bagged two more awards at the show's 40th Anniversary "Me and You" Concert.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who won Best National Chinese Song and was named 40th Anniversary Global Outstanding Artiste at the event, shared that he is still in disbelief at the recognition given to him.
"I will continue to release Cantonese songs in the future. I started in the business singing Cantonese songs. Even though I will have new Mandarin releases this year, I will continue to make Cantonese songs," he said.
Aside from the two awards, Hacken previously won the Gold Song award for "Lost Soul Chronicle", and was named Most Excellent Popular Singer.
Aside from Hacken, Eason Chan and Chinese singer Jane Zhang was named Best National Male and Female Singer respectively, while Taiwanese band Mayday won a similar award in the group category.
The singer has now won 15 accolades at the four major Hong Kong music awards for the year 2017.
