Hacken Lee is definitely on "Sing! China"
27 Jul – After much speculations, it was revealed that Hacken Lee will indeed be joining the new season of "Sing! China".
As reported on Mingpao, the singer was recently revealed to be among the mentors for the new season (to premiere 30 July), which include songstress Na Ying, rock star Wang Feng, and singer-songwriter Li Ronghao.
It is noted that Hacken was invited to replace Jay Chou, who couldn't make it due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Taiwan.
Hacken previously served as the host of TVB's singing competition, "STARS Academy". However, it was later rumoured that he left the show halfway after receiving an offer to join the more lucrative mainland show, as he has to commence his two-week quarantine.
He also personally invited Hins Cheung as a replacement.
While many fans expressed happiness for Hacken, some are not at all amused with the notion that the singer left his Hong Kong show after declaring his love for the contestants, just to do "Sing! China".
One netizen commented, "In short, feelings are no match for money."
