Guli Nazha denies opening up about previous breakup
13 Jun– Chinese actress Guli Nazha has recently denied opening up about her breakup from singer-actor Hans Zhang in an interview with a fashion magazine.
As reported on Phoenix, a number of tabloids reported that the actress has given an exclusive interview with L'Officiel magazine where she shared details about her breakup with Hans for the first time ever.
The tabloids alleged that Nazha has expressed in the interview how saddened she was by their breakup, and that she was finally able to get over it after spending time with her mother, who prepared home-cooked Xinjiang dishes for her.
On 8 June, Nazha's management studio released a statement on Weibo, stating that there is no truth to the reports and that it was taken out of context by the media to create fake news.
"At this stage in her career, Guli Nazha is only focusing on her filming projects and the quality of her work. We refuse to accept such a malicious publicity. Wise people will not buy into the rumours. Thank you for your attention," the studio added.
Nazha and Hans fell for each other after working on the costume drama, "The Classic of Mountains Seas" in 2014. However, the relationship was not received happily by Hans' fans, who were still reeling from his breakup with fellow actress Zheng Shuang not long before.
The two stars announced their breakup back on Christmas Day 2017, where they revealed that they ended the relationship as early as October the same year due to busy schedules.
