Ground Up and PepsiCo Collaborate on Doritos and Mountain Dew-themed Comfy Footwear
If fans of PepsiCo products want to rep some of their favorite food items on their shoes, they can do just that thanks to a collaboration between the major food company and Ground Up, which focuses on licensed footwear. The popular items in question? Doritos and Mountain Dew, which inspired a collection of casual footwear, including clogs, slip-ons and slides available at Walmart.
On the Doritos side, lovers of the cheesy nacho chips can purchase either a clog with a flaming Dorito on it and a fiery chip background design; or a red slide sandal with the classic logo of the snack brand. For those with a penchant for Mountain Dew, there are three footwear options. One is a slide with a camouflage sole and upper bearing the fizzy lemon lime drink’s brand logo; another is a slip-on shoe with a green and black tie dye-esque design with the brand name; and thirdly, a green clog that features Mountain Dew branding.

Per an official release for the collaboration, “Group Up and PepsiCo share a commitment to being the best-in-class partners in their fields, driving innovation, and creating memorable moments for fans. Uniting the worlds of food, beverage, and footwear, the aim is to deliver products that embody the essence of both companies.”
The shoes are priced between $16.10 and $26.10.
Ground Up keeps its ear to the pulse. In 2024, the brand released pink and green “Wicked”-themed shoes ahead of the release of the blockbuster musical, with those products available at Walmart. Also in 2024, the company created children’s shoes inspired by the popular video game Minecraft.
As for PepsiCo’s presence in footwear, the brand can be seen on a special pair of sneakers which Shaquille O’Neal debuted in 2024; PepsiCo worked with the Shoe Surgeon to reimagine a few pairs of the former NBA star’s own Shaq Attaq Reebok sneakers, in honor of 32 years of working with Shaq.
