Fans flooded Zanilia Zhao's filming location to catch a glimpse

26 Feb - While many actresses of her time find it challenging to maintain their status at their current age, it seems that Zanilia Zhao continues to ride the same wave of popularity - looking at the reception she had recently.

Earlier this week, the actress returned to Yantai Mountain in Fuzhou to shoot her new drama, "The City Builders" after having filmed parts of the drama in Huaqiao New Village. The drama, directed by Sun Hao, also co-stars Huang Xiaoming.

Fans who found out about her return, immediately flooded the area where production was set up, almost paralysing the entire street. This is despite Zanilia having yet to arrive on scene.

The actress appeared not long after, sparking cheer from the many fans who surrounded the scene. In order to avoid causing disturbance, she quickly entered the filming location.

Zanilia was later seen holding up her camera to take pictures of her fans from the window of a higher floor. Fans waited around until she concluded filming before leaving the area.

"The City Builders" is based on Zhu Xiajun's novel, that tells the story of how Pinghai County decided to set up Donggang Township in order to accelerate development in the early days of reform in the 1980s. It is set to be released on iQiyi this year.
