Gigi Yim to leave TVB Music Group?
24 Jun - Fans are getting more confused as rumours continue to swell that Gigi Yim is leaving TVB Music Group.
As reported on U Lifestyle, it was previously speculated that the singer will not be renewing her contract with TVB Music Group once it expires next month, and that she is more interested in leaving the company and making it on her own.
The rumour was further fuelled by the fact that she has updated her Instagram profile at the end of last year to not include her TVB manager's number.
When asked about the supposed departure, TVB denied it, saying there is no truth to the rumours. Meanwhile, her manager Maggie gave a vague answer, saying, "This topic has been circulating for a long time! Gigi has continued to work hard on her work and studies! Gigi is true to her character and takes everything as it comes."
Gigi became famous after winning the TVB reality competition, "Stars Academy" in 2021, making her debut in September the same year with the single, "Noble Truth".
She won rookie awards at the 2021 Metro Radio Music Awards, Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation 2021 and Hong Kong Gold Songs Award Presentation Ceremony, and was later awarded Metro Radio Hits Music Awards 2022 for her single, "Flame".
