21 Jul – Hong Kong singer Gigi Yim recently announced that she is going to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU).

The young singer shared the good news on 19 July, writing, "I would like to share a piece of good news with you. I have successfully been admitted to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University through the "School Recommended Direct Admission Scheme". The subject of my study is Scheme in Fashion."

Gigi revealed that she actually found out about it at the end of June, but decided to take some time before sharing it with her fans.

"I will continue to work hard in my studies and singing career, and I hope to get your continued support! I am also very grateful to my alma mater for their great help," she added.

In a previous interview, the singer admitted that she wanted to study either fashion or music, adding that she loves to draw.

"If I didn't become a singer, I think I would be an excellent fashion designer," she added.
