Gigi Yim denies issue with TVB
1 Jul - Gigi Yim recently dismissed the notion that she has been "frozen" by TVB for wanting to leave the company after her contract expires.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who spoke to the media at a mall event in Ma On Shan, said that she and TVB are still negotiating on the contract renewal, and that her work is still being arranged by the company.
However, she declined to discuss much about the contract as it is personal to her, adding, "Let nature takes its course and let things happen as they come."
As for the reports about the contract issue, Gigi said, "I have principles in life. It is important to not forget my original intention and be grateful. The most important thing is to be yourself, because everyone has what they want to do, and I also have things to take into consideration."
As for her previous absence from the RTHK Awards, Gigi said that she was busy with work at the time. However, she hopes to appear on stage again soon.
"It's normal to work according to the company's arrangements. I attended private events before, and people may not have seen them, so they thought I hadn't shown up for a while," she added.
