Gigi Coffee has opened its first diner that serves burgers, milkshakes & coffee

If you’re a fan of coffee, or someone who needs a fun little beverage just to get through the day, you’ve probably heard of and tried Gigi Coffee. This popular coffee chain has gained a loyal following over the years with its rapid expansion and delicious drinks. On 12 May 2023, the brand launched its very first Gigi Coffee Diner located at The Curve in Petaling Jaya.

Gigi Coffee is a successful Malaysian franchise that already has 114 outlets across the country despite only introducing themselves to the public in 2019. They are dedicated to making specialty coffees available on-the-go, and ensure high quality drinks by using 100% Arabica coffee beans. 

The most popular item on their menu is the Buttercream Latte (RM12), a latte topped with rich and sweet buttercream. Other unique drinks you’ll find include the Pecan Praline Latte, Monday Blue Cookies Latte, and Dark Choco Mocha, all for RM12 each.

In addition to the regular drinks menu that you’ll find at any of their branches, the diner offers specials like milkshakes and burgers. Following the diner theme, they have Banoffee Milkshakes, Cookies & Cream Milkshakes, and Chocolate Milkshakes for RM18 per cup. 

For their soft launch, Gigi Coffee Diner introduced their burgers by asking customers to choose a side: are you more old school or adventurous?

Those who opt for the former are recommended to try The Classic Burger (RM16) that’s made with either a beef or chicken patty, gherkins, onions, and cheese. The adventurous folks can check out their Spicy Cajun Prawn (RM26) with spiced breaded prawns and sriracha aioli. 

In an Instagram post revealing the launch of their diner, the company even hinted at future menu items. They stated that they’ll be serving crispy wings and fries, and will be introducing smokey and Korean inspired flavours soon. 

As seen on canvas posters that decorate the shop’s walls, those new items are Spicy Egg & Cheese, BBQ Smoked Duck, Gochujang Cheese, and Mushroom Lover burgers.
