GEM Tang laughs off rumours of secret wedding

15 May – GEM Tang has recently denied reports that she and her boyfriend of three years Mark Ngai have tied the knot in secret.

As reported on Mingpao, rumours of the Hong Kong singer's supposed marriage sparked recently, when sources claimed that she and Mark had a small seaside wedding in Thailand earlier this year, attended only by close friends and family.

This was further fuelled by photos shared by GEM of her enjoying herself in a pool with her sister at what seemed to be a resort, which was coincidentally similar to a photo Mark's sister shared around the same time.

However, when asked about it a representative of her studio responded, "We don't usually respond to our artiste's personal affairs, but the rumour is really funny. GEM asked me to tell you that she is not married. You don't have to congratulate her, but thank you for your concern."

Good friend Renee Lee also dismissed the rumours, saying that she never heard of GEM making such a plan.
