Gang Dong-won wants to try Hollywood again

8 Oct - Gang Dong-won recently revealed that he is planning to revive his stalled Hollywood career.

The actor, who spoke at the Busan International Film Festival where his movie, "Uprising" is the opening film, revealed that he was involved in a project in the US five or six years ago but that it didn't come to fruition.

"But I spent my time there learning the English language and English-language acting skills for a year, in fact, a year and four months," he said. "In the end, that project didn't happen, but, still, I was happy to challenge myself, because I want to work with everyone in the world, who is talented."

And while he is on that particular goal, Gang said that he wants to continue producing movies in the future.

"I have ideas that I want to become projects. For example, I wrote a synopsis two years ago, and a screenwriter is now writing the script. They're going to shoot it next year. It's a TV series I wanted to make, involving period, romantic, fantasy action," he enthused.

It is noted that Gang was supposed to appear in Hollywood movie, "Tsunami LA", but the project did not come through due to COVID-19.
