Gaile Lok sparks rumours of divorce
2 Mar – Netizens are speculating that Gaile Lok is now separated from husband Ian Chu based on one word that she used in her latest Instagram post.
On 28 February, the Hong Kong model posted a collage of photos of her kissing her son Hunter on the lips, and wrote, "Time is precious when you co-parent."
Netizens who saw the post immediately speculated on her current status due to the use of the word "co-parent", as the term is used to mean two parents who raise their children jointly despite no longer being together.
Further fuelling the rumour was the fact that Gaile locked the comment section of the said post, seemingly not wanting netizens to discuss speculations of divorce.
It is noted that the model has not shared any new photos with Ian since December last year, and that sources are claiming that she and her businessman husband have ended the marriage peacefully and that both have now return to Hong Kong.
When asked about the divorce rumour, Gaile's modelling agency responded, "The phrase co-parenting represents something. But if you need anything, just ask her directly."
Gaile and Ian tied the knot in 2017, five years after she ended her marriage with Cantopop singer Leon Lai.
