Friends happy with Sabri Yunus-Angeline Tan marriage

16 Oct - Actor-singer Issey Fazlisham is elated to see Sabri Yunus finally tying the knot with old friend and former "Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu" co-star, Angeline Tan.

The actor, who attended the marriage ceremony between the actor-director and the actress, stated that it's been too long since Sabri lost his first wife, who passed away in 2007 from cancer.

The comedy man took care of his three children on his own for the past 16 years, he added.

Issey was among the close friends who attended the wedding ceremony

"Sabri's close friends and myself have always known about their relationship, and we knew of his children's good relationship with Angeline. So, we have prayed that she would open her heart to convert to Islam and be his wife. Praise be to Allah, it came to be," he said.

It is noted that rumours of a relationship between the two stars, who played Wan Ismail Golok and Lucy in the '90s sitcom "Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu", have started over three years ago.

The couple's marriage was officiated by Perlis' Mufti, Datuk Dr. Mohd Asri on 14 October. Angeline is now known by her Muslim name Ardini.

Following news of their marriage, nostalgic fans couldn't help but took to the internet to express their thoughts about the two actors, with one comment saying, "It looks like Wan Ismail Golok has bested Budin, Mat Deris and Ravi altogether!"
