Francis Ng and Sean Lau reunite in "Crisis Negotiators"

6 Jun – Francis Ng and Sean Lau really had a great time collaborating again, 19 years since they last starred in the 2005 movie, "Himalaya Singh".

As reported on Mingpao, Sean, who reunited with Francis for the new film, "Crisis Negotiators", stated that the two of them met when they were both a part of the TVB training academy and became two peculiar friends filming dramas together.

"Francis has always been reticent. We don't like to explain things, but we will understand each other. We rarely discuss cooperation plans in private. This time when we were reunited, it felt like he had not changed at all. It was always like this!" he said.

Meanwhile, Francis joked that he was already too familiar with Sean and director Herman Yau, and need not pretend to be so friendly with them.

He also added that he only focused on his own performance and had no time to guess how Sean would approach his character.

"Because we were filming in different studios and couldn't see everyone, it was useless to estimate. We couldn't even estimate how we would perform, because the director was filming it so fast, I was so nervous, I didn't even remember the dialogue well, so I didn't have time to design the character in detail," he said.

"Crisis Negotiators" is adapted from the 1998 Hollywood movie, "The Negotiator", starring Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey.
