"FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" suspends filming

16 Mar – The long-running ABS-CBN show, "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" had to halt filming for the first time in five years after the government's declaration of a community quarantine and ban on mass gatherings to contain the spread of COVID-19.

As reported on ABS-CBN, the series was among the many Kapamilya shows that will stop filming as Metro Manila goes under quarantine, and will instead be replaced by the 2010 series, "May Bukas Pa", starring Zaijian Jaranilla.

Aside from the Coco Martin-starrer, other dramas that will be replaced temporarily by other shows include "Pamilya Ko" (to be replaced by Jodi Sta. Maria's series "100 Days to Heaven"), as well as "Make It With You", which will have JaDine's old series "On The Wings of Love" in its time slot for now.

In a statement released earlier, ABS-CBN revealed that the original primetime programming will resume "when conditions improve."

As of 14 March, there has been 64 cases of the Coronavirus, mostly in the Metro Manila area.
