Maneki Neko is a common sight in many traditional storefronts. These decorations are called Maneki Neko in Japan, and is often referred to as fortune cats elsewhere. Especially for business owners, placing a fortune cat near the cashier, door or workplace, is said to attract wealth.
Luckily for us modernists who would still like to indulge in traditions of yesteryears, the fortune cats now can be drastically simpler or showier than the ones available in the past, depending on our preferences.
