Bring home Kenzo Parfums' latest Flower L Absolue & Homme EDP 3 piece kit for free
Tell me if you have not experienced this: You found your quintessential, go-to skincare, makeup, fragrance or any beauty products you swear by, only to face the devastating news that they're discontinued after a few years. Horrors of horrors! Thankfully, you won't face the same problem with Kenzo Parfums' Flower by Kenzo, because they're refreshing the scent to ensure it'll continue to hold a place in our hearts after more than 20 years.
A few months back, the brand unveiled the updated version of its iconic Flower By KENZO Poppy Bouquet Eau de Toilette. The EDT evokes images of roaming through fresh flowers in a Japanese flower market, surrounded by lingering scents of springtime happiness. The scent is an absolute joy to spritz. But today, we are here to find out more about the new Kenzo Flower L Absolue Eau De Parfum.
Shop Kenzo Flower L Absolue EDP
Kenzo Flower L Absolue Eau De Parfum combines sustainably-sourced Turkish Damask Rose, Tunisian Orange Blossom and Indian Tuberose, but with an added twist: the highly sought-after saffron. Saffron is also known as 'red gold' or 'the most expensive spice in the world.
Composed by Alberto Morillas, the same creator (squeals!) of the first Flower By Kenzo fragrance (my all-time favourite), this new eau de parfum is a powerful sensual rendition of the Flower By Kenzo perfumes’ signature Vanilla and White Musk.
Did you know?
Saffron – the pistil of the Crocus flower – is nicknamed ‘red gold’ and is a spice that is difficult to harvest. Reputed to be the most expensive spice in the world, it requires extreme attention to detail and care to harvest. One kg of its pistil requires no fewer than 100,000 crocus flowers for extraction.
In Flower By Kenzo L'Absolue, saffron is infused in a generous floral bouquet. Infusion is the process whereby the extraction of the olfactory richness is derived from the most fragile ingredients and is a traditional extraction technique that is gentle and time-consuming.
Even more environmentally friendly than ever
By adhering to the recognisable silhouette and identity of Flower by Kenzo perfumes, the iconic 100ml bottle is redesigned to be even more eco-friendly. Incorporating at least 15 per cent recycled glass, its surlyn cap is shortened to reduce its plastic by 25 per cent. Its pack is also made of cardboard from sustainably managed FSC forests and printed with bio-based plant inks optimised to use the right amount of materials.
Kenzo Homme EDP – This one’s for the men
The beautiful rendition of bamboo of the latest Kenzo Homme would have probably caught your eye. Its shape echoes the vertical strength and flexibility of the bamboo shoot while its bevelled cap conjures images of a katana, the samurai sword. The scent is a sensual interpretation of leather, sunlight and spices topped with woody and salty notes reminiscent of marine life. A few have commented on its neutral gender quality, but I shall leave it to you to give it a sniff yourself.

Flower By KENZO Poppy Bouquet Eau de Toilette
Perfumer Dora Baghiche masterfully crafts the poppy fragrance. Distilled from three floral scents of Damask Rose, Jasmine Sambac and Golden Gardenia, the updated sun-kissed fragrance evokes that moment of freshly picked flowers with a botanical effusion of Green Almond, Tea Leaves with a dash of Mandarin Essence as its top notes. In addition, the concoction gives the fragrance its natural sensuality with the cosy woody notes of Patchouli, Virginia Cedar, and White Musk. Flower by Kenzo Poppy Bouquet Eau de Toilette was a popular floral scent – now even more addictive and perfect for everyday wear.
Eco warriors will be happy to know that the new fragrance contains no animal-derived ingredients. Its packaging is also made from responsibly-sourced FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) paper.
