Flora Chan explains bruises not from domestic violence
27 Feb – Flora Chan has recently stepped up to quell rumours in regards to the bruises seen on her upper left eyebrow.
Previously, photos of the actress with the bruises were published in the tabloids, and sparked speculations that trouble was brewing at home with husband, Mike Chung, who filed for bankruptcy back in 2012.
However, according to On CC, in her interview with TVB Dinner Confidential, Flora revealed that the cause of the injury was more trivial than that.
"I was preparing to take my daughter out cycling. I have already stored the knee pads and helmets in the car but forgotten that I have opened the car door slightly. When I had bent down, the door hit me," said Flora.
"I then realised that my fingers were covered in blood. Luckily, [my daughter] Mira was there, so I told her to call my husband over to help."
Flora revealed that Mike quickly took her to the hospital where she received several stitches for her wound. However, Flora assured that there will be minor to no scarring at all.
When asked about her thoughts on speculations that the injury was caused by domestic violence, Flora looked annoyed and replied, "There is no such thing. But I don't think everybody will believe that. But I don't think I need to tell everyone about my relationship and there is nothing for me to hide as well."
"As long as my fans know I am fine, it is fine by me. That's the main reason for me to appear in this programme anyway," said Flora.
