First Look at a New Air Jordan 17 Collaboration Inspired by Mike Bibby
The Air Jordan 17 may not be the most celebrated entry in Michael Jordan’s historic signature sneaker line, but it is certainly having a moment. After launching two limited-edition low-top versions of the model in 2024, Jordan Brand in 2025 seeks to continue building energy around the sneaker. One way it’s aiming to do so is with a new collaboration courtesy of Infinite Archives.
Previewed by Infinite Archives founder Isimeme “Easy” Otabor while attending Paris Fashion Week, the Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low is tentatively set to be released in two colorways during fall 2025.

The first pair was shared by Otabor Wednesday and features a cream-colored “Beach/Metallic Silver/Black” colorway which is highlighted by a purple TPU heel stabilizer.
Another post shared on the Infinite Archives Instagram account all but confirms that the purple-accented colorway is inspired by former NBA star Mike Bibby’s Air Jordan 17 Low PE while a member of the Sacramento Kings.
In addition to the pair previewed by Otabar, a second iteration is expected to be released in a similar “Beach/Metallic Copper/Black” combination. Further details on the second pair are currently unknown, but it’s also slated to launch sometime during fall ’25.
The Air Jordan 17 was designed by Wilson Smith III and took inspiration from Jordan’s love of jazz music. Upon its arrival in 2002, it was the most expensive Air Jordan yet with a retail price of $200. The sting of the high price tag was soothed by the inclusion of metal briefcase packaging — a detail that has been duplicated on the latest run of Air Jordan 17 Lows, despite the original low-tops coming in standard packaging.
Founded by Otabor in 2015, Infinite Archives is described as being “created to archive and mark the passage of time by unearthing definitive moments in art, music, sports, politics and pop-culture.” The part-moodboard, part-streetwear brand was launched after Otabor worked in retail at Chicago’s RSVP Gallery, which was co-founded by Don C and the late Virgil Abloh.
Readers can expect more information on the Infinite Archives x Air Jordan 17 Low soon. The colorway previewed by Otabor has a style code of IH0177-200 and is expected to retail for $300.
