The Singapore actress pointed out that life lessons could be learnt from something as simple as a cooking class.

The learning process can sound like chore, especially for those are who are still having vivid memories of your days in school.

But, local actress Felicia Chin wants people to know that it can be an enjoyable experience too.

As part of her weekly video series with Hai Hao Ma, the 38-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday (11 June) to talk about her recent cooking lessons.

A self-confessed “extroverted introvert” (she previously spoke about how her enthusiasm made it hard to fit in at work), Chin said she enjoys being around the other female students and going through the preparation and cooking process before savouring their finished products.

“I never thought I could make churros,” she said. “I hope I can learn different types of dishes, and if there’s an opportunity in the future, I can invite my friends over to eat.”

Though it may be something as simple as a cooking class, Chin pointed out there are still lessons to learn.

For example, she may not know the other students who are attending the class that day, so she might be unsure of what the environment will be like.

“But, I discovered that learning can be an enjoyable process. You can learn more about yourself and what you like through other people and by experiencing new things.”

Chin revealed in her post, “I like having small groups of friends and intimate conversations and interactions. I also need my own space to recharge.

“So, I would like to encourage everyone to bravely step out of their comfort zones. Most of the time, you’ll realise what you actually like or what sparks joy, and you won’t be bound by fear.”
