Fazley Yaakob and Azrene Ahmad are divorced
16 Oct - Datuk Fazley Yaakob has confirmed that he and wife of 18 years, Azrene Soraya Abdul Aziz (aka Azrene Ahmad) are no longer together.
Just like how Emma Maembong did with her own divorce announcement, the singer-turned-celebrity chef revealed that the two have actually called it quits on their marriage a few months ago.
"I hope that with this announcement, there will be no more confusion about our relationship after this," he added in his statement.
Fazley said that the divorce was quite a while ago that even Azrene has completed her iddah. However, he declined to share the reason for the split.
As for their children, the singer said that the two of them currently share custody.
"We also have a good relationship, just like when we first met," he said.
Fazley married Azrene in 2006. The two are parents to three boys: Ahmad Fariedz Shah, 15; Ahmad Fieradz Shah, 14; Ahmad Fierudz Shah, 13, as well as daughter Alayna Selma, 7.
