Fashionista's 18 Favorite Fall 2023 Collections From New York Fashion Week

They range from colorful and funky to dark and ethereal.

It's impossible to move on from New York Fashion Week (which kicks off a month of shows across London, Milan and Paris) until we debrief on the coolest things that happened, on and off the runway.

LaQuan Smith, who has a keen sense for sexy womenswear, debuted menswear at a jazzy runway show, featuring plunging necklines and mesh cutouts. Thom Browne meditated on the passage of time and reimagined "The Little Prince," while Christian Cowan delivered a glitzy fashion ode to icons of the queer community. Designers agreed that fancy hoodies and chocolate browns are musts for Fall 2023 — and those are just a few highlights.

It may only be the first leg of Fall 2023 fashion month, but we already know that the season doesn't take itself too seriously. It explores fantasy while still fashioning something beautiful. We challenged ourselves and narrowed down our 18 favorite collections from New York Fashion Week. (Trust us: It was not easy.) Click through to see some of the best looks from each one.
