Fans Flood Guy Fieri with Support After He Shared a Powerful Tribute to Steve Harwell
Guy Fieri strayed from his usual upbeat posting cadence on Instagram to honor his long-time friend, Steve Harwell. Harwell was the lead singer of the rock band Smash Mouth, known for hits including "All Star" and "Walkin' on the Sun."
After attending a ceremony in honor of Harwell, who died on September 4, 2023 at the age of 56 due to acute liver failure, Fieri took to Instagram to share photos of the two together. "Just said goodbye to my brutha Steve Harwell Surrounded by great family, friends and fans True rockstar ceremony!" Fieri wrote.
Fans of Guy Fieri and Steve Harwell alike were quick to share their condolences. "So sorry for your loss, may he RIP on the other side. 🙏❤️ true rockstars" and "R.I.P. to the All-Star 🙏," fans wrote. Fieri and Harwell were close friends for many years. Fieri even contributed to Harwell's cookbook to raise money for charity.
