Evergreen Mak to leave TVB soon
3 Jan - Hong Kong actor Evergreen Mak has confirmed rumours that he is leaving TVB after nearly three decades of collaboration.
As reported on Mingpao News, the actor revealed that he will officially leave the company after concluding the show, "Bazaar Carnival 2".
"I have been with TVB for 29 years. The company is much like high school, and now it's time for me to graduate and see the outside world," said the actor.
He added jokingly, "29 years in school makes me a good student."
As to whether he will be expanding his career in mainland China, Evergreen stated that he will work in both Hong Kong and the mainland, as he hopes to work with different actors and production teams.
"A lot of my friends know that I am about to leave TVB. They have taken an initiative to find me," he said.
When asked if he would be willing to work with TVB again in the future, Evergreen stated that the two parties have mutual understanding and arrangements.
