The revival of 70s fashion brings bold and iconic styles from the disco era back into the top, trends of 2024; think, psychedelic prints, vibrant colours and, of course, wide-leg flared pants. But instead, today we're making a case for resurrecting retro beauty with Eva Longoria's brand new Mick Jagger-inspired haircut. Enter: the ~iconic~ shag.

Over the weekend, Eva attended the La Cena Los Angeles event celebrating Latino creatives in film and television in Hollywood. Of course, for the coveted red carpet celebration, Eva went above and beyond in the beauty department with a fresh new cut.

In other words, the XXL lengths we saw her rocking just last week are now nowhere to be seen and instead, she's got a shoulder-length wet shag and curtain fringe. The actor's go-to hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos shared a video reel on Instagram to debut her new 'do. "the MICK JAGGER shag!" he writes in the caption.

I mean, chopping off 5+ inches of hair makes for quite a dramatic transformation, wouldn't you say?

A shag haircut consists of rock 'n' roll layers. Traditionally these lengths hit between the collarbone and chest, but frame the face with shape and texture. Here, Eva and Dimitris have nailed the look, opting for a wet interpretation of the style.

Having said all that, with it being award season, we wouldn't be surprised to find out in the coming days (thanks to the power of social media) that this hairstyle is a wig. Boo, I know.

Alas, one can hope and still bask in the beauty that is this shag!
