Etta Ng leaves Hong Kong amid controversy

3 Apr - It was reported that Etta Ng has recently left Hong Kong following the latest problem with her radio personality mother, Elaine Ng.

As reported on Mingpao, the 17-year-old, who recently called the police to arrest her mother for alleged intimidation, shared online, "Leaving [Hong Kong] for a bit [tomorrow]. I am alive for those who are wondering."

Although she didn't mention any destination, sources claimed that Etta has left for Thailand with one of Elaine's friends.

On the other hand, in a press conference held by Elaine's good friend, Mary Jean Reimer, the former urged for her daughter to come home.

"I just want you to be home. Whatever it is, just come home," she said.

Elaine denied reports that she is having a breakdown, and urged the media not to make up rumours about their mother-daughter relationship.

"I just want my daughter to be safe. I will continue to work hard," she added.
