On the latest episode of Home Town, Ben and Erin Napier took on the renovation of a "woodsy and whimsical" cabin. The Napiers worked with a single mom of two daughters to update their 1,000 square-foot-home and add some much-needed space and privacy. The homeowner had been sharing a bedroom with her 4-year-old daughter, so the team decided to add on a brand-new primary bedroom. Plus, they updated the exterior, renovated the kitchen, and added a patio.
Erin shared photos from the "mysterious little fairy cabin" with her followers on Instagram, and she was bombarded with hundreds of comments. While most people praised the home's details, several fans brought up one question: Why didn't Ben and Erin add a second bathroom?
One viewer wrote, "That was a great transformation! But I have to wonder why they didn't add a second bathroom with 3 females in the house. 😉" Another said, "Missed opportunity for sure" and someone chimed in with, "They'll be sorry." Others speculated that perhaps there was a septic regulation.
Erin hopped in the comments section to put an end to the debate with a straightforward explanation. She wrote: "because bathrooms are expensive." Anyone who has taken on a home renovation knows that she speaks the truth.
After a brief hiatus for the Super Bowl, Home Town is back with a new episode on February 16. In a new Instagram post, Erin promises her "favorite kitchen" Ben has ever built, plus an inexpensive idea for DIY planters. The episode airs on HGTV at 8 p.m. EST/7 p.m. CST and streams on Max.
