Eric Tsang begins work with TVB
10 Feb – A month after he was appointed as TVB's new Deputy General Manager and Special Advisor to the Executive Committee, it was revealed that Eric Tsang has finally returned to Hong Kong to start work.
As reported on Mingpao, the news was confirmed by senior executive Virginia Lok, who stated that the actor came to attend the executive meeting following his return from mainand China, and that his proposals and opinions were highly praised and supported by those present.
"He had been in a meeting all day long that he didn't even have time to eat. Even as I was ready to go home, he was still there working, and even arrived early in the morning the next day to continue," she said.
On the other hand, Eric himself kept his distance from the waiting media, only releasing his official statement in which he expressed to being happy to finally return to his TVB family.
The actor stated that he would like to share the joys of the past with the audience while moving forward at the same time, and that he will integrate the creativity of young talents, and produce high quality and diversified programmes.
Aside from reviving his old variety show "Super Trio", Eric also stated that he will be fully responsible for variety shows and infotainment programmes and deal with problems that had arisen, such as JSG Awards losing credibility due to the lack of nominations from the three of the big four record labels.
