Energy thanks Mayday for their reunion

8 Jan - Taiwanese boy band Energy recently attributed their reunion to the long-running rock band Mayday.

Original member Shuwei, who finally reunited with Milk, Ady, Toro, and Kunda after many years, recently took to social media to share his thoughts on regrouping and returning to showbiz, saying that he wouldn't have had the opportunity to see fans' reaction to seeing them again if they weren't invited to perform at Mayday's concert back in April 2023.

"I never thought about it. It was just for fun, and I just wanted to give myself and Energy a token to remember our 20 years of success. As a result, I was so moved by the feedback you gave me. You won't believe it. I still remember the countless excited expressions in the audience that day," he wrote.

"All I want to say is, if our comeback can awaken everyone's youth, move everyone again, and even make everyone feel hope, then I am willing to return. This time the five of us decided to hold hands again, decide to rush and kill again. No one thought Energy would get back together, but we did! We worked hard to make the impossible come true!"

Finally, he thanked Mayday for making the reunion a reality.

It is noted that the last time the original five members were seen on stage was in 2003 before both Toro left the group in 2003 and Milk in 2005. Energy was officially disbanded in 2009.
