Emma Maembong confirms divorce reports
9 Oct - Emma Maembong has finally confirmed reports that she and her husband Muhammad Shazli Azhar have ended their marriage.
The actress recently released her statement via Instagram, writing, "Unfortunately our marriage ended at this stage. If it was up to us, we didn't want to announce the divorce so not to make it a bigger issue. But in order to avoid slander, we have agreed to inform you about our divorce."
Emma also expressed hope that there will be no speculation as to why they decided to call it quits on their marriage as they ended it mutually and will remain good friends.
"Our children's mental health are our priority as parents. Being divorced doesn't mean you have to be enemies and that it ends all things," she added.
Emma also said that she would like for her family to be given some privacy so that they can raise their two sons healthily.
Emma and Shazli tied the knot in February 2020.
