Ella Chen composes her new song, "Good Night Song"
20 May – Taiwanese singer Ella Chen recently released a new song, "Good Night Song" as a way to express her thoughts about motherhood.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who wrote and composed the song herself, shared that her inspiration for the song came from the profound experience of being a mother to her three-year-old son Jin Bao.
"This is also my first collaboration with Kay Huang, who is also a mother. We really hit it off. I couldn't help but be moved to tears when I was recording it in the studio," she said.
At the same time, Ella also hopes that the new song will cheer everybody up during these trying times.
"Life is full of challenges, and the arrival of new life is not easy. But life itself is a miracle," she added.
When mentioned that the title of the song is similar to former singer Fei Yu-qing's classic hit song, Ella smiled and said that she hopes the song will have similar fate with Fei's own - that is to be a classic and remain popular forever.
