Eliza Sam on baby's gender: I want to be surprised!
12 Dec – Hong Kong actress Eliza Sam recently made her first appearance since announcing her pregnancy, where she apologised for not being honest about it when asked by the media previously.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who attended Longines event wearing a pair of four-inch heels a few days after the announcement, shared that she is currently five months pregnant and will be giving birth sometime in April 2019.
As for not telling the truth when asked about it at a prior event, Eliza said that she had to keep mum as she hadn't told her own family about the pregnancy at the time.
"I had to tell the elders first rather than they found out about it from the newspapers. But I hadn't been able to do so before that as I was busy going to and fro for work," she said.
As for the gender of the baby, the actress said that she deliberately asked the doctor to keep it a secret to see how long she and her husband could wait in anticipation.
On the other hand, Eliza said that she hasn't decided on anything pertaining to the baby's birth, especially on whether to stay in Hong Kong or return to Canada. However, she hopes to continue working as long as she can before the baby's birth.
