Eliza Sam announces departure from TVB
19 Jun – TVB actress Eliza Sam recently revealed that she has decided not to renew her contract with the company when it expires sometime this month.
On 18 June, the actress announced the news and bade her farewell on Instagram, saying, "I still remember the first time I entered TVB to compete for the Miss Chinese International. I can't believe so many years have come and gone and that our contract is now finished."
"Words cannot fully express the gratitude, respect and appreciation that I have for my TVB family in my heart. For many years, I believe that God has sent a lot of angels to be around me," she added.
Eliza thanked a lot of people who were responsible for her career, including TVB Executives Virginia Lok and Catherine Tsang, whom she said have given her the opportunity to fulfill her dream of an acting career.
She also expressed gratitude to Sandy Yue for encouraging her to be her true self, and Deputy General Manager Felix To for teaching her the meaning of hard work, as well as the many friends she made at TVB for their help in cultivating her talent.
Finally, Eliza gave her thanks to the "security guards and cleaning ladies" at TVB, saying that they would always cheer her up with their conversations whenever she arrived for work.
Eliza has not shared any information about her plans after leaving TVB.
